CO2 Fire Extinguisher for Electrical Fires
CO2 Fire Extinguishers ,known as Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishers or Carbon Dioxide Extinguisher, are suitable for electrical fires(Class E).And these are also the choice for flammable liquid fires(Class B) with black label.
• Class E-electrical fires: involving equipment such as computers, or generators
• Class B-flammable liquid fires: involving some flammable liquids, such as petrol, diesel, and paint
Carbon dioxide is stored in the extinguisher as a liquid.When the handle of the extinguisher is squeezed,the gas is created under pressure.At that time,the CO2 gas is released at a great speed. CO2 extinguishers work by displacing the oxygen surrounding the flames with carbon dioxide to interrupt the combustion process to put out the fire.
