1. What is the Vehicle Fire Suppression System?

A vehicle fire suppression system is a permanently installed, permanently mounted safety system designed to automatically detect and extinguish fires in vehicles, particularly heavy machinery, to protect the operator and equipment from harm and damage. These systems work by a detection element (like linear heat wire or spot sensors) triggering a control panel, which activates actuators to discharge a fire-fighting agent from a tank through a network of tubes and nozzles to suppress the fire. They are crucial in industries like mining, construction, and mass transit, with different system types-such as dry chemical, wet chemical, or dual-agent systems-available depending on the specific machinery and fire risks.

Key Components
Detection System: Includes heat-sensitive linear wires, spot sensors, or smoke detectors. 
Control Panel: Receives signals from the detectors and initiates the activation sequence. 
Actuators: Devices that release the propellant to discharge the fire-fighting agent. 
Agent Tank: Stores the fire-fighting agent, which can be a dry chemical, wet chemical, or both (dual agent).

Detection Tube Model/Pneumatic Valve
Inside the Pneumatic valve there is a piston, it divide the valve cavity to 2 parts. The upper cavity connect to detection tube, the lower cavity connect to bottle. The pressure of the 2 side of the piston is same. During the fire, Once the detection tube detected fire and ruptured one hole to release the pressure. Then the pressure of 2 side of the piston happen different, the piston was moved to up, and the outlet port of the valve was opened, and agent was discharged from the pipe and nozzles. At the same time, the pressure switch send final to fire alarm, the fire alarm was activated. On the control panel, there is a manual button and test button, reset button. In emergency Pushing the manual button can activate the fire system too.
How It Works
1. Detection: A fire-detecting tube, heat sensor, or smoke detector senses a rise in temperature or the presence of smoke in critical areas like the engine compartment. 
2. Alarm: The detection event triggers a control panel, which alerts the operator via an alarm horn and light signal. 
3. Suppression: The control panel activates actuators to release the fire-fighting agent stored in a cylinder or tank. 
4. Agent Deployment: The agent is distributed through a network of hoses, tubes, and nozzles, targeting the fire's location. 
5. Fire Extinguishment: The agent works to smother the flames by displacing oxygen, cooling components, and preventing re-ignition.
