Compressed Air Foam Systems (CAFS)
CAFS Compressed Air Foam Fire System stands for CAFS Compressed Air Foam Fire Suppression System CAFS10 CAFS30 CAFS60 CAFS100, CAFS200 and is a system for the production of high-quality CAF (Compressed Air Foam), which is used to fight solid and liquid fires.
In the production of CAFS, the same three components are required (water, foam compound and air) as in the generation of conventional fire fighting foam. The crucial difference lies in the foam expansion of the water-foam compound mixture, which in the CAFS system does not take place passively through the injector principle on the nozzle, but rather actively in a mixing chamber in the system by means of compressed air.
Compressed Air Foam has become the go-to agent for flammable liquids and hydrocarbons response. The versatility of these systems have been proven by field tested use in multiple applications. Suited for offshore oil and gas facilities, rapid response vehicles (RRV), fuel storage locations, mining, marine vessels, racetracks, pressure pumping & hydraulic fracturing equipment, hydrocarbon storage tanks, saltwater disposal (SWT), airports, forestry, and general emergency fire response.
Applications for heliport and helideck fire protection, electric and fuel-driven hydraulic fracturing equipment, land production facilities, offshore topside deck arrangements, and aviation related hazards have specifically been increasing adoption of increased fire fighting capabilities. Our hand-truck, cart and skid mounted hose reel foam systems are self contained and stored energy, eliminating the need for an outside agent or propulsion source. Units are designed and completed to the same standards as our full line dry chemical powder, and foam equipment to make them withstand the harshest environmental conditions.
