UN ECE R107 Certificated Automatic Fire Suppression System For Mining Machine

The pre-engineered fixed-nozzle fire suppression system is intended to protect off-highway vehicles, commercial vehicles, and industrial applications. Its typical uses cover surface mining equipment, underground mining machines, forest harvesting equipment, construction equipment, farming machinery, and transportation vehicles like municipal buses.

The Vehicle Fire System consists of three major components: a container to store the dry chemical extinguisher agent or dry powder extinguisher agent; an actuation system operated manually or automatically, and an agent distribution system which delivers the agent from the tank through hydraulic hose and fixed nozzles to the hazard areas.

The basic agent storage container is a tank filled with dry chemical which is effective on Class A, B, and C fires. A gas expellant cartridge, either carbon dioxide or nitrogen, provides pressurization of the dry chemical upon actuation. 

The dry powder extinguishing agent / dry chemical extinguishing agent is delivered from the tank through hydraulic hose and pre-set nozzles into the fire hazard areas or onto the fire prone surfaces.

Working Principle of Auto Model

The detection cable is flexible, it connect to control panel, and detect the temperature anywhere in protected space, once temperature reach 180℃(or 138℃), the detection cable send signal to control panel, and control panel will activate the solenoid valve to open it, the=n pressure will go into the fire agent bottle, and the fire agent was discharged from discharge pipes and nozzles, and activate the fire alarm at the same time, and the control panel will output signal to vehicle controller for shutting off the engine.

Working Principle of Manual Model

On the control panel, there is a manual button, reset button, lights, etc. in Emergency pushing the manual button can activate the fire system too. We can also use the manual actuation device to start the fire system, When you press the actuactor(3) , then the released pressure will be delivered to pneumatic actuator(5). Then it will open the expellant gas cartridage(6), the released expellant gas will be delivered to the fire agent bottle(8). Then the fire agent will discharge to the fire areas from the pipe and nozzles. If the detection cable not connected to control panel or damaged the, the control panel will alarm.
