The Fire Agent Can be FM200/FK-5-1-12/AFFF3% Foam. The canister/cylinder is made of carbon steel or stainless steel. PRI-SAFETY Direct Type Fire Systems utilize the detection tube as both the "detection device" and "suppressant delivery".  Once fire happpens, the portion of the detection tube nearest the point where the most heat is detected ruptures, forming an effective spray nozzle.

The pressure will then drop as the Detection tube releases the entire contents of the cylinder through the discharge nozzle to effectively suppress(put out) the fire. More than one detection tube
